Recipe FAQs

Why is macadamia nut milk better than almond milk?

One is not necessarily better than the other, it really just depends on personal preference. Macadamia nuts tend to be more expensive than almonds. Macadamia nut milk is easier to make than homemade almond milk because you don’t have to strain it.

Don’t you have to strain macadamia nut milk?

No, you don’t need to strain this nut milk. Macadamia nuts do not have a skin, so the milk is very creamy when blended, and does not require straining.

Can I use roasted macadamia nuts to make milk?

It’s best to use raw nuts as opposed to roasted nuts because the raw nuts are softer.

So good! I switched from dairy to a boxed macadamia nut milk about 6 weeks ago and I wasn’t in love with some of the ingredients. This is so good, so easy, so wholesome, thanks so much for sharing!

When I made it, it tasted a bit gritty. Did I not leave it blend long enough?

Did you use a Vitamix? You definitely need a high-speed blender to get it creamy. Or, you can try soaking the nuts to soften them which can also help make the milk creamier.
